Megan Chance, author of An Inconvenient Wife, which I loved, has written another great book. Prima Donna is the story of opera singer Sabine Conrad who leaves her career and life behind to escape a scandal and finds a new life in Seattle in the late 1800s. It's a really interesting story of how she survived in a different world. I loved it!

He canoes in his deluged neighborhood, assisting stranded people and dogs, even though his frustrated wife and family followed the mandatory evacuation instructions. A nightmare ensues when he is arrested for looting and spends 23 days imprisoned and treated unfairly.
